We’re partnering with an innovative global agency on an amazing opportunity. This organisation is redefining the way brands engage with their audiences, blending strategic creativity, with cutting-edge digital solutions, to create immersive experiences that push boundaries.

Our client is looking to add a VP Client Relations to their Sales Team. This role involves working closely with Account Directors, Department Heads, and Senior Leadership, to deliver exceptional service to clients. The VP Client Relations will strategically manage and retain their assigned client portfolio, while supporting corporate strategic initiatives.

Job Role

  • Expand the client portfolio by converting new business opportunities
  • Focus on client retention and expanding existing account relationships.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Business Operations, to monitor financial performance against targets, adjusting strategies and tactics to ensure goals are met
  • Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to sales teams, with a focus on lead generation, creating compelling sales presentations, and growing the existing account base
  • Lead regular sales meetings, offering motivation, direction, and support to help the sales team achieve or exceed sales and client retention objectives
  • Maintain an active, visible presence with local and extended team members to foster collaboration
  • Identify at-risk clients and implement strategies to resolve issues and secure retention
  • Regularly engage with clients to strengthen relationships and ensure their needs and expectations are consistently met
  • Track financial performance against targets, implementing necessary adjustments to strategies to achieve desired outcomes
  • Own client proposals, sales presentations and the financial relationship
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, to build a high-performing team
  • Ensure that the right resources are allocated to high-priority opportunities
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of assigned business segments
  • Perform additional duties as required

Skills and Experience

  • Over 10 years of sales and sales leadership experience, ideally in exhibits, custom product/marketing solutions or the advertising industry
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in business, marketing or communications; an MBA is a plus
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing client and employee relationships effectively
  • Consultative communication style, skilled at listening and delivering clear, impactful messages, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Strategic, solution-oriented sales approach
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to guide team development
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
